Hunting in Australia with Buffalo Safaris for water buffalo, scrub bull, pigs, sambar deer and other species including barramundi fishing is an exciting and rewarding experience. Buffalo Safaris was established in 1994 by professional hunter Barry Jones and his wife Sonja. With over 30 years of experience hunting in Australia and Africa we are dedicated to providing a best grade free range hunting experience for clients who demand exciting hunting matched to quality camps, meals, and customer service. We operate Australia's only fully serviced luxury hunting camp in a magnificent wilderness environment.

We manage all aspects of our business and we personally guide all hunters. We guarantee that your needs will be fully catered for from your first contact to the shipment of your trophies after a successful hunt. We know that the successful taking of your nominated trophies is important. Equally important for your complete satisfaction is a memorable and enjoyable stay with friendly, caring hosts. Our objective is simple, to provide complete satisfaction!

However do not take our word for it, Harald Wolf, editor of Hatari Times, the world's only multi language big game international hunting magazine, with English, German and French editions had this to say in 2007

"I believe that Barry and Sonja Jones run by far the most comfortable and beautiful safari camp of northern Australia. Their outfit could easily compete with the best camps I have seen in East Africa, although they cannot fall back on a mob of inexpensive camp workers and servants like in Africa. They actually work their butts off to provide the luxury and atmosphere of a classic African safari camp. Such a service is actually unaffordable in Australia and therefore simply unavailable with most of the other outfitters. At least I have not seen another wilderness hunting camp in the Australian outback, which would come anywhere near Barry’s camp. Accommodation, service and food are all five-star. Barry used to guide safaris in Africa as well and therefore knows what a spoiled client expects after having done a couple of classic African safaris. Surprisingly, many other Australian outfitters do not care at all and provide only a rough and very basic rather low quality service. I have seen camps like that and wondered if their clients really enjoyed staying there."
